It's MY DAY to be GUEST DESIGNER over at TAC's Savvy Projects blog!!!

The Angel Company did a bloghop EVERY DAY in the month of May and I was a guest designer for them on May 23rd. To check out more entries, the link is: http://theangelcompany.typepad.com.

The week of May 22nd we used sketch 61 that was designed by my good friend and multi-talented ANGEL, Heather Scott.

The faux scallop border was made by punching four circles, cutting them in half and butting them up against the 5 1/2" strip. Adhere to back with scotch tape. It's a great way to use your left over scraps so I hope this trick comes in handy for you. If you punch holes in the scalloped border, do it before adhering panel to card front. CLICK on any card to view an enlarged version.
ALL listed supplies available through TAC via your local Angel: Caboodles Set B (cardstock & Copic markers), Flowers Impressabilities Die, 3/4" circle punch, 2 1/2" circle punch, Lil' Cuties (special edition) stamp set, scissors, adhesive

Aren't you totally amazed at how very different our cards look when we all use the same sketch to begin with? My second card uses cardstock from TAC's paper collection called EMMA. I have changed the orientation of my card from landscape to portrait. The only other liberty that I took with the sketch was to add a thin scrap of patterned cardstock on top of the green strip.

ALL listed supplies available through TAC via your local Angel: Caboodles Set C (cardstock & Copic markers), pattern cardstock from the Emma Collection, kraft cardstock, 3/4" circle punch, 2 1/2" circle punch, Rolling By stamp set, scissors, hole punch, adhesive, Tuxedo Black Memento inkpad, Desert Sand Memento inkpad, hydra sponge

another SKETCH card

All SUPPLIES used are available to order via me (or your local Angel) through The Angel Compay. For secure ordering from me, click here.
Cardstock: V-376 Limeade, V-373 Marmelade, V-381 Whimsy
Copic Markers: V15, YR68, YG09
Inkpad: Tuxedo Black Memento
Stamp Set: When Spiders Are Seen

My card is brighter than it appears here. The cardstock circle actually has a way cool texture that you can't see . . . since I made a boo boo and ended up stamping on the back side of the cardstock. The cardstock and Copic markers are from our TAC Caboodle Sets D and E.

CABOODLES (Coordinating Cardstock & Copic Marker sets)

I love that The Angel Company (TAC) has paired packs of cardstock that coordinate perfectly with the oh-so-popular Copic markers and have created 7 different sets (set A to set G) called CABOODLES! It certainly makes the whole process of matching papers to markers a breeze since it's already been done for us by TAC. If you are interested in learning more about these awesome sets, email me at kcangel@embarqmail.com.

TAC "Cupcake Cuties" Blog Hop

The card I'm sharing today was made using an MRO stamp set called Cupcake Cuties. I love, love, love this set and have used it tons. The strip of decorative paper is from our Catelynne collection and the words from "Joyful Notes". For me, those words put the icing on the (cup) cake. The icing is white liquid applique. Thanks for stopping by. Click here to return to the Savvy Projects Blog Hop.

TAC Retiform Blog Hop

This is my first time participating in a TAC Blog Hop...but not the last! I really enjoyed making this card so I could play along. I used the "Mice Day" stamp set and cardstock from the Hip Hop collection. I used the Wizard to complete the center image. Go check out the Savvy Projects Blog to get inspired and see all the cool retiform cards.

Holiday Giftbags

Each year I host a Holiday/Winter Giftbag Swap so here are all the bags from 2010. Place your 'mouse' on top of any image to view the name of the designer. Unfortunately, the sparklies (glitter, gems, crystal lacquer accents) on the giftbags do not show up in the photos. These bags are SO much cuter in person.

Reindeer Food (a new tradition)

Basically, a child will remove the tube from the triangle stand on Christmas Eve, sprinkle the 'reindeer food' on the lawn so the food will attract Santa & his reindeer. The food is oatmeal mixed with a bit of glitter. I hope you enjoy it and decide to make some of these for the little ones in YOUR life! This will be a fun tradition to start for my grandbabies. This is my spin on a project that we did at Seminar this summer.

Begin with a 3" x 12" piece of decorative cardstock and score at 3", 6" & 9". Fold on scorelines and form into a triangle. Instead of gluing bottom of triangle together, by using Velcro you will be able to lay it flat later for easy storage. Using a 1" circle punch, punch a half-circle while the cardstock folded. Fill tubes three quarters full with oatmeal, add glitter, shake to mix and finish filling with oats.

The new TAC stamp set "Reindeer Food" has a total of 6 stamps in it and sells for $10.95. The tubes come 4 to a package from TAC for only $2.95.

Birthday Shadow-Box card

It's gloomy outside today so my camera and I aren't on the same page as far as lighting goes. The yellow decorative paper is really bright and matches the cupcake yellow perfectly. I used one of the stamps in Cupcake Cuties and love how it turned out. Guess I'm just wanting SPRING to come. I know I'm sick of all this snow! These 3D cards are quick and easy to make...not to mention habit forming. Hope you like it!
Oh yeah, the decorative paper is from one of our 8"X8" paper pads called Brighten My Day. You can make 2 shadow-box cards from one sheet of this paper. Click on any picture to enlarge.

Joy Fold Card

I just made this card for a Swap using the TAC stamp set Wonder & Joy. I colored her with COPIC markers. Wish I knew how to make the photos appear side-by-side...LOL For the popped up sentiment, I used our fun stamp set called Celebration Time. I have no idea why this type of card is called a Joy Fold card but I'll roll with it.

Your friendship...is one of my favorite blessings.

Today Jackie came over for our Monday stamping session to make more 'sistah' cards. There were a lot of parts & pieces that went into this card but I like the way they turned out. The stamps I used were Swirled Spring Life (bird) and Blessings to You (words), both from the new Serendipity Street magalogue. The decorative paper (Brighten My Day) is from one of our 8x8 paper pads. I colored the bird with COPIC marker (B12) and finished up with Crystal stickles. Please click on the card for a better view. Ciao COPIC markers are now available through The Angel Company (TAC)!!!

Valentines

My friend and I had so much fun coming up with all these designs! Before Jennifer arrived I pulled out red, black and white cardstock and we went from there. Notice the 'googlie eyes' on the robot?

Using CUTE CURLIQUES for the background was a snap on the Sister, Be Mine and Love cards pictured below. You'll see how the swirl stamp done on white and also red cardstock gives the cards a completely different look.

I HEART YOU is a fun set to have. Only takes minutes to come up with cards using this set. Love it! Love it! Love it!

I made two versions of the magenta, black and white cards. I used a two stamp sets from the Serendipity Street magalogue that just came out. They are called SAVVY SAYINGS and GARDEN JOY. After stamping and coloring my flowers, I did pen work around them to spice them up.

White on White scrap card

I have tons of white strips of cardstock so today I decided to use some of them. I ran them through the Swiss Dot cuddlebug folder and then layered three of the scraps onto my white card and added an image. I really love the 'white on white'. Grab your scrap basket and play around to see what you can come up with. Please be sure to share your creations with me! Remember to click on the picture for a larger view.

SERENDIPITY STREET

The new Serendipity Street will go LIVE on Monday, January 25th. If you don't have your copy yet, they are only $2.95. There are some really awesome stamp sets in it...plus we are now carrying 4 different COPIC marker sets, Nestabilities and Impressabilities and lots, lots more!

You can also VIEW Serendipity Street on Monday by going to my TAC website which is http://avis.ismyangel.net Serendipity Street is currently pictured at the top of this page.
